Well, your baby has probably dropped and that puts more pressure on your pelvic area. The baby is pretty heavy now and resting very low, so that causes the pain. It could also be braxton hix. Those happen very often at 37 weeks. Usually women either have more bowel movements or become constipated near the end, so that is normal. Don't worry, just try to rest and let your doctor know if the contractions get really intense.

It could definately be the start of things! Your body tries to remove waste, thus all the peeing, bowels movements, sometimes even throwing up days before the onset of labor. You are achy because you are opening up! Congratulations!
It could still be weeks away, but doesn't sound like it.
Have you had any show, or noticed if you've lost your mucous plug? Those are the big signs impending labor.
Your doctor should be checking you at this point to see if you've dilated or become effaced at all.

I know what you mean by the pains in your lower area. I feel that way when I walk right now. I am 37 weeks too. I am also having braxton hicks off and on. I keep thinking that labor must be near.
I have had some spotting, cramps and feel pretty bad.

Im a student midwife and mum of 2. It sounds like the pressure u would feel from the babys head getting further down into position, which also stimulates the "bowel nerves" too. Keep an eye out for the loss of your mucus plug which is a pinky coloured discharge. This indicates the onset of labour too.
If you lose any waters or become really uncomfortable, contact your midwife or gp.

All the best .x.x

It could be alot of things. Mostly normal. Call your doctor and let them know what's going on. Don't be surprise if your baby decides to come out early. Both of mine did! at 39 weeks. They were healthy. Good luck!
