After running on the treadmill, I have dull to sharp pain in my left...

...ankle/shin. What should I do? I've been running for the past 5-6 weeks on a treadmill. After running, I there is a dull to sharp pain in my left leg, in the general areas of my calf and ankle. During the week I alternate days running and lifting weights (i.e. Sat., Mon., Wed., I run; Sun., Tues., Thurs., I lift). Since the pain has lingered for a few days I haven't done either. I stretch after my workouts... what should I do?
