Am I Suffering from a Pain Reliever Rebound Headache?

I started taking Aleve last Tuesday (two days before my period) because i always get a period headache and I had a desert trip planned, so I didn't want to have it out there. Anyways, I stopped it Sunday morning, but a headache formed, so i took an Advil. Monday I didn't wake up with one, but it formed later in the day, so I took some Advil. I have had a headache every day this week! And, I take some Advil, but now I think it could be a rebound headache. I think maybe I should just completely stop the pain medicine!

I've never heard of a rebound headache - not that I don't believe you! When I get headaches, I try drinking an excessive amount of caffeine and that usually takes care of the problem (of course I'm up until all hours of the morning, but my headache is gone!)

If you try the caffeine bit, or even try some Excedrin, and that still doesn't work, then I suggest getting into your doctor's office. It could be any number of things, but high blood pressure comes to mind when I think of headaches and you don't want to mess around with your health.
