I do agree but... do you really understand why? It was not without reason when the Philosopher said that there is pain in the Library. That's true; the more knowledge one achieves the more painful it becomes; but that's the pain of the moth that will get burned when it gets there.

id say it all depends on the recipiant and the actual knowledge. as a general rule id say yes it does. as in the opposite of ignorance is bliss. but at the same time knowledge is power and if the right knowledge is used the right way by the right person it can have a massive impact. i personally dont connect my emotions with the knowledge i have so im personally a no on this one.

Completely agree. We are a damned being. We know of our own death, and we are stripped of our eternal peace. I wish I were an animal without a concept of my own death. But I'd be a cool animal like an armadillo. As our knowledge grows, our damnation grows. As they say, ignorance is bliss.

I agree with that quote. I am reading this short story called, "Flowers for Algernon.," in my American literature class. It was a novel, but also made into a short story. The main character name is Charlie Gordon. He is not very smart. His IQ is 68, which is less than Forrest Gimp. He hates being stupid, and wants to be smarter. So there are these two doctors who's doing an experiment on him, and it will triple his IQ score. So far this seem to work, and he's getting smarter than the doctors. Before he was smart, he have many friends in his job; who he thoughts they liked him. However, when he is smart, he finally find out that they were making fun of him after all; because he was stupid. When he was stupid, he thought that he has many friends who loves him, which he was happy. Now he's a genius, and he loses him happiness; but at least he find out the truth. I love that short story, it's awesome.
