Severe Edema during Preg., delivered feb9, still have terrfic leg pain,

doctors unable to diagnose? My legs swelled (only, no preeclampsia) severely during the third trimester of my pregnancy. After I delievered it took several weeks before it went down, however I am still edemic. I have moderate to severe pain in both my legs 24/7. Have been to so many doctors with still no diagnosis. I do have Clonus in both ankles, a balance issue, an MRI came back normal and I am taking Vicodin and Lyrica. I am unable to take the Lyrica during the day because of the sedation effect, I am the primary care giver for my toddler and my newborn, I am completely impaired by this med. Vicodin works great during the day, but, now I am dependent. My doctors are weaning me off, through this process I am in greater pain, still only taking the Lyrica at night. If anyone has heard or has had this please reply. Also, what would you tell the doctor about the vicodin if you were me? I realize it's bad for me, but it does allow me to function and be somewhat pain free until I am diagnosed. Help!! :0(
