| Problems with foot after surgery ???? numb and extreme pain?
2 months ago i had major ankle surgery. I just got out of a cast five weeks ago, and have started walking for these past 5 weeks. In the past couple days i have experienced extreme pain and swelling, yesterday i noticed my ankle and through my foot is numb. When i called the doctors office with the symptoms of it being painful and swollen they said to rest and elevate my foot., so i did. Now i am very concerned, Why could it be numb, and what should i do. My doctor is located in the hospital, so to deal with this i would have to go through emergency. The pain is only extreme when i walk on it for a long time, however it is always numb. ??
