Week 33 w/ pains... is this normal?

Im 33 weeks and 5 days pregnant. My baby is head down and I have already dropped. Since my baby dropped I have been having pains in my vaginal area. It is worse when I do kegels or try to pee. Also I feel like I have to pee 24/7. Anyone else experience this and does this mean I am going to go into labour soon? Dr said this was normal ... I do not have an infection... please help

Unfortunately, this is normal. I am 34 weeks now and have the same issues. The pain in your vaginal area is attributed to the additional relaxin hormone that is released in your body as it prepares for labor and delivery. This causes the ligaments to stretch more and the pelvic area to become more relaxed.

When the baby dropped, it pushes more on your bladder, so that is the reason you are going to bathroom more often.

These symptoms don't really indicate that labor will begin soon (as in the next week or two), but it is the body's way of preparing for it.

Hope this helps to ease your concerns.

I am 33 weeks too. I have the same problems I have already dropped to. I feel like a got to pee all the time and i have real sharp pains. It all normal because the baby is starting to move down and preparing for birth. It is putting alot of pressure on you down there. With the baby getting bigger that causes it too.
