What color should I paint my new kitchen?

I recently moved into a townhouse with my boyfriend and we are starting to repaint some of the rooms. I cant decide on the right color for my kitchen. It is dark red right now and im not too into it. However, with the countertop color and white cabinets im not sure what color would work and look nice. The floor is the same color as the counter. Also, what other ideas does anyone have for low cost ways to make a kitchen look better? I really like the color in the first one. It's called "angel cake" by Kilz. It's a nice, bright neutral color that will go with everything & it will highlight your kitchen accessories (towels, coffee maker, etc) whatever color they may be.

Is A Cute Kitchen, But Put A Lighter Collor So The Room Can Look Bigger, Maybe A Light Yellow, Lime Green, A Soft Blue, The Cabinets Look Like They Are In A Good Shape, The Kitchen Just Need A Splash Of Color

Our kitchen is a nice celery green. I think, kitchens should be cheerful, not dark and brooding. I would go with lemon yellow, light green, baby blue etc. All look nice with white.
