| what does this painting mean?
it's by edgar degas. http://image62.webshots.com/62/6/78/27/2164678270045831199ntGcsC_fs.jpg this is one of my favorites and what is so interesting about it is that it is very mysterious. i know that degas liked to not just capture a moment in time, but poses. i liked the way the body moved which is why he drew a lot of dancers. but in this painting, niether of the women are dancing. the picture is called waiting but they look more like tired to me. i don't understand it http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=A0geu6Rj3fJH2sEAUt1XNyoA?ei=UTF-8&p=edgar%20degas%20waiting&fr2=tab-web&fr=slv8-tyc7 i hope this one is better |
