need help for pop art of Marilyn Monroe painting?

Well, I was chosen to do this art and I have no idea what this mean. I am not good tell th epainting meaning. The website is

For my role, I have to think critically and all I know about pop art is a new movement that describe the artists torture life. I only know that it happen to the outside of the society.

Well, all I know about this painting is repeat, but I dunno the critical meaning of this art. Can someone can help me please
