I would like to use face paints to create the look of an eye mask -help?

I am going to a masquerade ball but instead of wearing an eye mask [as i think it would irritate me through the night] i would like to use face paint to create the look of an eye mask, i would like it to look good and not shabby anyone have any ideas? anywhere i can look for inspiration? shapes and patterns? Thank you
