| Acrylic paints on canvas techniques? -- smooth looking?
I need to make my painting smooth and almost like it was printed from ink...in other words, no visible brush strokes.. Should I smooth it out with my fingers or a sponge after applying the paint? Any suggestions would be great! |

Try using a really fine and flexible white bristle paintbrush, then use a fan to smooth it all out. You could use your finger but I think the fan brush will work better. Also, it's acrylic so add water to make it thinner and do something like a underpainting. You'll need to pre-mix all your colors on the palette before applying and keep your colors pure so they are visible, being a thin layer of paint. |
