Can you use a liquid paint striper on a bird cage to remove the paint instead of...

...sanding it by hand? I understand I will need to get all the loose paint off and I will need to wash the cage good before I repaint it with the proper paint that is safe for birds.

I mean, you could. But if it has some sort of chemical in it (which is most likely does) it could kill your bird. like when you clean a fish tank and use soap and you wash it out a million times, but you fish still die...

Hand sanding is harder but your bird won't die from unknown chemical residue.
