Can a collage also include paint?

I am making a collage of a landscape for my portfolio and wanted to know if by adding paint it becomes then mixed media and not a collage. If I did a jungle, does that count as a landscape? I only draw and I am not familiar with collages or have done much painting for that matter, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
