Really depends on what kind of quality you want. You can use spray paint, and get a few years for about $75. You can find one of those cheapie paint places that will use inferior paint, and will coat it thick for about $250. It will scratch easy, and look like crap in about five years. Then there will be those value paint and body shops that will do a descent job for around $500-1000k. You might get 10 years out of it. If you want a like-new paint job, you will be spending $1500-3000k. You will not be repainting your car, unless you wreck it, or get 15 to 25 years on it. This all is providing you don't need any body work, or painting the inside of the doors, and interior areas of your car (as you would do if you were wanting to change to a whole new color the right way).

It all depends on how much of the work you can do yourself. If you can do it all then go to an auto body supply store. Some places have really cheap mis-tint paint which just didn't match what someone else needed. I have also found discount auto paint supply stores with excellent prices. If you can't do the work you can look for a school that teaches auto body repair, or somebody that does this kind of work at home. It will probably be different in your area, but I paid around $50 for a gallon of ready to spray paint and the total was less than $1000 to paint my '95 Oldsmobile Aurora, including body work.

Go to a honda Collision center they specifically have honda paint and anyone who paints cars loves side work so pull one of the guys away and ask him if he will do a side job chances are he will say yeah and if not just ask another one there I have had three hondas painted by them one for 500 and 2 for 1000 and they did a awesome job I have a hatch also by the way we have a honda collision center right by our honda dealership so....but I am not sure about you or where you are

It will all depend on the paint color and how much damage your body has. The less damage to your body they have to repair the more money you'll save. The cheapest color to paint your car would be either white or silver. Try not to go to cheap on the paint job cause you do get what you pay for. Call a few paint shops around your area in ask them how they would charge you. They properly need to see the car to give you a proper estimate.
