A steel roof CAN be painted, but are you sure you want to try?

First steel roofs tend to be very slippery.

Second you need to make sure the surface is clean and dry to accept the paint (designed for metal).

The only way I would want to try to paint it would be to spray it from a bucket truck.

You would need to talk to a commercial painter that has the equipment. I am sure they would be willing to come out and give you an estimate.

Rustoleum oil base metal paint comes in a really nice green color. No priming necessary.
