Ideas on how to dress like Michelangelo?

For my history project I have to talk about Michelangelo Buonarroti. I have to dress like him too, and I need [cheap!] ideas on what I should do for clothing. I was thinking about finding one of those funny-looking artist hats, a paint tablet thing, and a cape, but those aren't exactly historically correct and pretty typical. Any ideas are appreciated! :]

You should go to party city and see what you can find there. Get like paint and paint brushes. Go online and see if you find out what they wore back then.
