Well good luck! So do I! hahaha! No, I have done a lot of searching for info on Van Gogh for same information and found it in different places. Wikipedia is a great place to start. Most of thesee quesions will be answered there. Also Google his name and see what sites come up. You could google his name + styles of paining, He is wonderful no? also google original of artist by name a+ museum and you may be able to see them in the original mueseum where they hang...not all will let you. I was trying to find out which color of Starry Night and Stars on the Rhone were the right colors and in researching I found that VanGogh had made several copies of each in different colors!! So it solved my dilema! Goog Luck!

He was fauvist and was the leader of the movement. Fauvist artists include Derain and Cezanne. He used pointillism (dashes and dots of painting)Look at Wikipedia for what he painted:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MatisseHe was influenced by impressionism.Sorry it's a bit vague but I don't have much time.
