Best color paint to reflect light for my living room?

Hi everyone,
I have a townhouse that only has two windows in the bottom floor and it doesn't get very much sunlight. When I moved in, I painted the walls sorta like a medium brown because I have a brown suede couch with walnut wood in the bottom and most of my furniture is like walnut wood. The problem is that my current color doesn't reflect light very much and I want to brighten up the living room due to the lack of sunlight. I'm intending of selling my house soon and would like a color that most of people would like. My living room/kitchen/dining room is all open and on the same floor with only two windows facing the front. The bedroom is upstairs and it's beautiful, we painted a light green. Thank you!
