which is better acrylic, oil, or water based paint?

I'm looking for paint that is easy to blend colours, inexpensive and limitless.
My project is geared towards a realistic feel with plenty of depth and contrast....
which paint would be best?
I was looking to use oil paint but I haven't done much with that in the past...
please and thank you

For beginners it is always better to start with acrylic because you donīt have to wait your work to get dry. And it is physical property when you use more water. Acrylic has also advantage to be less expensive. My daughter is 12 years old and she can handle it very well. Buy some canvas and start.
Good Luck from Germany from Udober
