Finger painting themes/ideas for kids?

I am looking for some ideas for my art activity at work. I am going to be doing finger painting with 5 and 6 year olds and am just looking for some different ideas, anything from a theme for a picture through to making animals with your fingers (saw it in a book where you could use your thumbs as the body for a bird). Any ideas would be much appreciated.
