| Somebody please help me with this paint problem?
I have been repairing holes in my walls this week. I put up new sheet rock on Monday, then put two coats of mud over the course of two days. This morning I painted on two coats of primer and let them both dry completely before beginning the painting process. Well, I just put on the second coat of paint and it's not matching the rest of the wall! I happened to look more closely at the can and they sold me high gloss enamel! When I asked those guys to professionally match this paint for me, I told them it was for an interior dining room. I even took the lid from the old paint can (from when this room was originally painted two years ago) to help them with the match. I cannot believe they sold me high gloss paint and now this explains why it's not matching! What can I do?
Is the solution as simple as buying a can of satin interior and painting over the gloss? Please don't say I have to start all over and sand this all off..this has taken me 4 days already!
