larissa has a spectacular aura about
painting of young Greek or Turkish woman in Courtauld Gallery?

Would anyone be able to help me identify a painting of a young Greek or Turkish woman in the Courtauld Gallery? (I'm in Canada so can't try to track it down myself.) Many thanks.
I'm sorry that I'm unable to provide additional information -- this painting was seen not by me, but by a friend in London, and that's all she can remember about it. I realize it's not much to go on, but I was hoping maybe it would ring a bell with someone. Many thanks!
ok, have asked my friend to provide more details, coming soon....

Probably 'Young Spartans', an early painting by Degas, if memory serves me correctly.

If you google, you'll find the website of the Courtauld Gallery. It has an index of paintings, and might need a trudge through, if someone here doesn't recognise your description!
