what color should i paint my room?

my mother finally is making plans to paint our new house (new, 3 years ago...not a very new house though its from the thirties..) and i can paint my room.

my last room was really dark blue and my mom said she recently ran into the people who live there now and they complained about it.
so she said i cant paint it anything to dark or bright or exotic.
which pretty much defines my personality.
my room has no theme..it does..random.

i have tye die sheets a few posters, blue drumset, purple guitars, a lava lamp and then a bunch of random (ex. trolls, knick knacks) im pretty sure every color known to man is in my room.
what should i paint it?

If you really want to go with something dark, bright, or exotic, maybe your mom would agree to a compromise. Paint three of the wall a normal white and on a third accent wall, cover it with some fun fabric that better defines your personality than what your current options are. It would be relatively inexpensive to do just one wall, and it can easily be put up with a staple gun, making it easy to remove and causes minimal wall damage.

If you have a lot of colors then maybe you should paint the wall a really bright white.

I'm thinking that maybe because of all the other colors in your room the white would balance it out and you wouldn't have to worry about it not matching with other things, because the white would match everything.

It would allso make your room look brighter and more vivid because the sun would reflect off of it.

I can truthfully call myself a great designer, But its hard to know what you need to go with on just the few things you explained on your question. But I can say that the way I can tell people what color best suits there needs when Im not avalible is for them to clean there room real good put everything where it goes in your bedroom then close the door behind your self and open it in about 1 minute and tell me the first 3 colors you see. email me back with that info and I will try to help you. mandyfoster41980@yahoo.com
