ice has a spectacular aura about
someone back-up on my car, and the left front side bumper's paint got peel-off.?

about 6 inches long, 1 inch thick, probably about 3. it doesn't have dent or anything.. and it doesn't look that bad either. but seeing it like that, pissing me off. what can i do to cover it up? i have a 2007 honda civic - alabaster metallic silver. i went to honda dealership and asked them about the touch up paint, and the honda guy told me it only works for minor/small scratch or something, he told me that if i use the touch up paint it will looks nasty, because the coating got peel off, too. he said it's deep, you can see a black deep thing, not silver anymore.
what can i do to cover up the damage????

You can do some research online for companies that sell auto spray paint. Find the one's that will help you determine the color code for your car and it's availability. Order the primer, spray color, and clear coat and they'll ship it to you.

Use newspaper and masking tape from Home Depot to expose just the section you want to spray. Then spray enough primer to cover the black surface and use fine sandpaper to even out the surface. Then use your color spray evenly over the primer. Finally spray clear coat to protect the color and bring a little shine. Use a buffer to bring out more gloss.

My bumper had lots of scratches on the bumper so I used spray primer, spray paint, and spray clear coat to restore the color. It's unnoticeable from 5 ft, but it does a much better job than touch-up marker and less expensive than getting a auto paint shop to do it.

Good luck!
