| Should I varnish a water based acrylic painting?
I need to ship it no later than tomorrow morning (Wed.), and I finished the piece yesterday. It is an 8 X 10" stretch canvas done with Daler-Rowney System 3 water based acrylic paint. It is dry to the touch. I've never used a varnish before, and have purchased a can of Krylon Kamar. Is it okay to spray a thin coat, wait a couple hours as stated on the can, and wrap it up to ship? Or is it better off sending it "naked" and hoping the new owner has it varnished later? It will be auctioned off (100%), for a charity next week. If yes, any tips on use? Thanks!
