PAiNTING EMERGENCY!?

I went to Lowe's to buy some new paint for my room, and so we painted on top of the primer that we put up. we also used painter's tape to outline the edges and corners (because each wall will be a different colour). This morning, we were peeling off the tape, and the paint came with it..like elastic. the paint itself peels off if you just scratch it with your finger. also, the primer and the paint are both latex. why is it peeling?

and also, im going out to Benjamin moore's to get different paint, so that it doesn't happen any more...any suggestions/tips??

im not worried about when to take off the tape, i knwo you have to take it off when its still a little wet, but what my main concern is, is that if you just scratch it, it comes right off. (when its completely dry it does that)


ALSO, IM NOT TRYIGN TO CLEAN MY WALLS....i put my finger and glide it along, and it moves like elastic.

i suggest you bring this up to someone at the store - tell them what happened. they would know about it the best
