How to Face Paint?

Okay guys, for my godsister's first birthday, im going to be face painting. My problem is, is that i've never face painted in my life before. The options for what i'll be painting looks pretty simple. Just butterflies and bumblebees. Ladybugs and grasshoppers would be fine too. But what kind of paint should i buy? One that is safe for kids skin and it has to be easily removed, but one that wont smudge when kids are playing and messing around.

Also, if you can tell me what paint, brushes, etc. And everything else that i may need to make these designs. Step by step instructions would be great too.
