| Ratios and paint....? If purple paint is made with blue paint and red paint in the corresponding ratio of 2:3, what volume of blue paint would need to be mixed with four litres of red paint to produce purple? And, if a painter mixes purple paint using 2L blue and 3L red, then after using 500mL of it, adds 600mL of red paint to change the colour, what is the ratio of blue paint to red paint in the new mixture???      |
