Why would anyone paint they're house yellow?

I think it's so freaking ugly.

Well, thanks. My house is butter yellow with white trim and a white roof. And I happen to be quite proud of it.

I agree in most situations. Yellow houses look too bright and new in most neighborhoods but look great stand alone on a farm or something like that. I was just at a yellow house this morning and thought how ugly, it was right next to a cluster of 50 year old houses that aged well.

That is your opinion.....and you know what they say about opinions don't you?
And BTW, your question is rude. Everyone can't be expected to like all the same things. Just think about how boring this world would be, or maybe you're bored already if all you have to do is criticize someone's color choices.

I am actually planning to paint my house yellow. It would be the only yellow house on a street filled with blue and beige houses. It is a 100 year old Victorian home so it will look great! Check out the Oglebay house... http://www.oglebayfoundation.org/Images/client/Oglebay_home.jpg
It is the perfect shade of yellow for my house!
