Buying new bumper... paint question?

HI.. I want to replace the bumper on my Mazda Protege because it's looking pretty bad.. (2 different minor "scuffles")

If I buy an unpainted replacement bumper, what kind of paint do I have to buy? (I'm having a friend/professional do the painting, I'm just trying to figure out how much I'm going to be spending)

I found a place selling 12.5 basecoat spray can.. what else do I need.. what if the unpainted bumper is listed as "primed"??

do I need basecoat or clearcoat or both?? primer??
I'm just trying to price to see when I can do this..

also.. best price on an unpainted (or silver) rear bumper for a 2002 Mazda Protege??

Again.. I'm trying to price so that I can figure out if I can afford to do it now, or how much I'll have to save up.. just answering the question (if you can) would be appreciated..
Can you guys PLEASE give me HELPFUL advice about what I'll need to get my bumper painted instead of telling me to ask my friend.. I can't reach him right now, and I'm just trying to PRICE!!!

But I am going to have a professional do the painting... I'm just not able to ask him about the details at the moment.. I am just tryign to figure out how much it will cost

BTW.. I am looking on websites that are selling auto paint, matched to my cars make, model, and color....
Okay.. let me explain what the most helpful answer would be..

#1.. I can see prices on the websites.. I just need to know if I need both basecoat and clear coat and primer (if the bumper says it's primed allready)

#2.. don't try to give me a quote, I'll work out the pricing with my mechanic friend.. I'm just trying to figure out what I'll need so I can figure out how much the paint will cost, and add it to the price of the bumper (which I'm also finding) and then find out how much he'll charge for labor
