| Can you paint over joint compound without priming? Here's the deal - I repaired a HORRIBLE mud-job in a room in my house. I've done the entire room with 2 coats of primer, then noticed that some of the repair areas were too rough from the texturing. I sanded those areas down (there ended up being a lot of them!), so in those areas it's likely sanded in speckly spots back down to the compound. Can I get away with applying my latex paint, or am I going to have to suck it up and go over the sanded areas with more primer? |
