Could anyone tell me how to paint my trigger frame on my Smart Parts Ion?

I've had my Ion for awhile now, and the black isn't cutting it. I was thinking I wanted to paint the trigger frame either blue, orange, or chrome. I'm thinking chrome will be the toughest, but I would like some input. I will most likely be painting the body kit as well so anything regarding that would be great.

If you want the trigger frame to be chrome, you should just sand it smooth and let the bare aluminium show. If you want to paint it, you first have to sand the original finish off, then paint a primer on that will adhere to aluminum. After you do that, you can put your final coat on.

As for the body, you should probably just buy a new one in the color you want. SmartParts has body kits in just about every color for the ion, and their only $10.
