| I work for a painting company as a subcontractor and they take out 9.5% for... ...worker compensation.? I am a professional painter and I work for a company that hire me as a subcontractor with a 1099 but pays me at an hourly rate like an hourly employee from 7:30 4:00 Monday-Friday. How can the person I work for take out worker compensation out of my check every friday @ 9.5%. The owner alreadys had general liability and worker compensation for his business how can he do this to me. Is it against the law what he is doing or what? |
