Why do some new cars paint jobs look so dull?

It's mainly cars that have black paint, Am i the only one who notices this? I have seen many new cars from Kias to Bentleys that have a really dull paint job, it looks terrible, is that because the color black is hard to take care of or.......what? Im asking because i will be getting a new car very soon, and i really like how the color black looks on cars, but lately ive been thinking, i dont want it to look (dull). Is it just that they are not taking car of their cars? let me know!!!! oh, and its always new cars....

Please dont buy a black car. I have owned 2 black cars Bith 2nd hand... & they are never clean. They look great on the showroom floor but owning one is a pita. You spend 2 hours cleaning & getting it nice & 1/2 hour later its covered in dust & dirt. Try a colour.. my current car is a wedgewood blue which looks great with chrome mags & dumped
