Foal Announcement for Paint Mare that was pregnant for over a year.?

The Mare finally had the foal and it was the night before Easter. Unfortunatly she did not accept it. We were able to get the mom secured enough that we could get the filly to nurse through the afternoon and night. Then the next morning when we knew that she was going to continue to keep trying to hurt her baby, we tried putting the baby with another mare that we have that is nursing. This worked for one day and she too didn't want to do that anymore. At a lost we decided to bring her home and let her stay in our house. The vet came out and checked her out. We were able to get her to bucket feed with a great mare milk supplement and last night she spent her first night outside. We built her a nice little barn in the side lot at our house and tomorrow we are bringing over one of our gentlest mares to companion with. This same mare is the one that actually cleaned her from birth and stayed by her, only she is a barren mare. We named this special little filly Lily.
