| Painting a bedroom in the basement? We have a room in our basement my dad built when we were kids ( now 25 ) We live in northern Indiana so we dont have huge flooding problems ( at least were I live ) and our basement doesn't have much water problems like leaks or anything. I want to help my dad repaint the room and bring it up to date but he doesnt think priming is necessary and I do. Tho the basement is fairly dry I think it would be a good idea to prime with a sealant type paint before we begin painting and it helps keep stains from the old paint from coming through right? Any ideas?      |
