use? Size compressor? I own a 1963 Pontiac Lemans with the original paint on it. It's been sitting in my garage for along time and i think it's time i get to work. I want to do the work myself; I just need a little help. I want very good results.

6.0 HP or better two stage compressor, minimum 60 Gallon tank. A gravity feed middle of the road to high price HVLP spray gun should do the trick. I just bought two MAC tools guns. I really like them.
As far as paint a base with a urethane clear would be great for what you are doing.
You might want to go to A book store get or have them order you some books on body repair basic, paint basics. This months Petersons 4 wheel and Off Road, & Hot Rod both have pretty good body and paint how to articles too.
