I am on a performing arts course, and we sometimes talk about films and people?

keep equalling me out calling me a film buff all the time, why is that?They talk about films as well!I just agree to having seen some of them that's all!
No Lee H it's just how am I any more of a film buff than any of them?

what do you mean by "people keep equalling me out"? Sounds like you are being competitive about it or something? Is this maybe behind it?


But what do you mean by it then?


It sounds, given that you said they keep equalling you out, that you consider yourself something of an authority on "film", which is fine... to some people, someone that knows the vaguest amount about anything makes them a "buff" or "brainbox" or whatever they want to label it... think nothing of it, particularly, if you don't like it, then maybe tone it down a bit... I think it comes back to this "equalling me out" attitude... it seems "telling".
