| Buying a new car, advice? Im starting college soon, and I will be attending school on the other side of the country. My current car just can't make that sort of trip. So, a new one is in order. I am somewhat torn between style and functionality, I know that is horrible. Here are my choices.Style:- '08 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet - '08 BMW M6 Convertible- '08 Audi R8(All within similar price ranges).Functionality:- '08 BMW X5 4.8i- '08 Audi Q7 4.2 Premium- '08 Mercedes E550 Sedan(Again, all similar prices, though substtancially less than the first three). Please no crap about the prices of the cars, I excelled all throughout schools, made it into on of the the top performing arts conservatories in the world, and this is a gift to me from my parents. So, which one should I get?I couldn't give two SHITS about what impresses girls, I'm gay you idiots. |

| Buying a new car, advice? depends what type of guy you are . BMW says I am a serious guy but rich but might be kinda nerdy but stick with me babe and you will be rich to . Porche says i am rich and i love to have fun but also might say hey i am not a guy that can keep in serious relationships .The audi can say both but says you are serious in life and have fun but take things serious also .i personally would take the BMW x5 |

| Buying a new car, advice? I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but do you really need a car in Manhattan? Besides the hassle [and high cost] of finding parking both where you'll be living and whenever you go somewhere in the city, the fact is you can get anywhere in Manhattan within a few minutes by cab or the subway -- and from Juilliard/Lincoln Center, there are tons of great restaurants and clubs within a very short walking distance [on those rare occasions when you'll have free time -- I have a few colleagues who attended Juilliard, and they worked like dogs to excel there].That being said, go with one of the three in your "Functionality" category -- they're still quite stylish and dignified. Avoid a Porsche at all costs -- they're in the shop more often than most people know. Frankly, you might want to check out Consumer Reports -- their testing is exhaustive and their information is invaluable. |

| Buying a new car, advice? It is not your age, but I think anybody who gets an Audi R8, BMW M6, or Porsche 911 will kill themselves. For functionality, the Mercedes E-Class would be nice, but I would recommend the E320 Bluetec. Bluetec means it is diesel. It is not like the old, loud diesels that smell bad, it is new, groundbreaking Mercedes Benz Technology. The car is faster than the E350 due to tons of torque, it drives very well, the engine has a small hum to it that actually sounds kind of nice. The good thing is, that this car gets around 28 MPG City, 36 MPG Highway. The ultimate car that is not on your list is the BMW 335i. It is less powerful than the M6, but it has agility, a good price tag, loads of power, and a great design that will stop anybody.
