Your solution and key for your situation, is how much money your mom is really worth. Studies here in the United States, are EXPENSIVE and they all needed to be pay UPFRONT before using any school or public school. If you think your mom can handle such an EXPENSIVE SUPPORT for you, then your should apply for an F-1 VISA.Check with travel state:http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1269.html

1- Seach in internet Colleges fees, applications.... 2- Apply and after admited, they will Issue an I-20... 3- With your documents and the proof of that you can live in the States without need to work you can apply for a F1 visa. When you get your student visa this is allowed while you are a student, after that you would need to find a job and apply for a different visa called H1b, after the years you will be allow to apply for a residence.. That is a long path.. but is worth it ! NYC is a great city to live in, I would recomend you to seach places in Brooklyn, State Island, Long Island to live, because Manhattan is extremelly expensive Good Luck.

Laguardia High School is a really good performing arts school in NY. It's in the same high ranking category as the school I went to, Brooklyn Technical High School. But you're already 15 & you can't go there because of two reasons: you can't just want to go to high school being from another country & you're supposed to audition for Laguardia High in the 8th grade. They do take students in the 9th & 10th grade but that's really limited & unlikely. If you're trying to come to NY for dance or drama, you need to look at Juilliard School which is actually located near Laguardia High in the Lincoln Center District of Manhattan. For performing arts colleges you need to audition so I'm not sure how you're going to go about doing that with immigration. The best thing for you to do is talk to the USCIS personally. How you go about getting a visa is applying for a student visa and not an immigrant visa because you won't qualify for an immigrant visa. You have to apply to colleges and then if you get approved to a college you will use that approval to get the student visa. Go on the USCIS.gov website to get the advice number.& remember.. you're going to NY.. that's the most expensive state in the US next to California. Have you thought about how you're going to afford school & actually live in NY. You should think about living in Brooklyn or Jersey City but it's still going to be quite expensive. You need to be smart about your decision. If your mother's going to be paying for your living expenses.. warm her that it's going to be a heavy amount.
