People, could you tell me what is the difference between Logos (philosophy) and...

...Logos (christian concept)???? Many christians have told me that Logos (word, Jesus) refer to the theory of deductive and inductive arguments. żIs that right?

Originally, the Greek word "logos" meant several things. It doesn't really translate well into English, but it included concepts of reason, order, and the natural state of the world. It is generally translated as "The Word" but that leaves out much of the original meaning.

Aristotle did use it to refer to deductive arguments. (In fact, the word "logic" comes from "logos.") I believe Thomas Aquinas did too, if I'm not mistaken.

The Christian Logos is an Eternal Person and not just an idea or force

The greek word logos can mean word, reason or purpose among other things

The christian logos is the written word (is fixed) as opposed to the remah which is the spirit plus the word (is living). Jesus is the word that came to life and thus fits more into the definition of the remah word.

Logos means the word in Greek. I the beginning was the Word(Yeshua), and the Word was with God. John 1:1. Logos comes from the verb - lego, which means tell, say or speak.
