| It can't be done. MIT professor Marvin Minsky proposed a test, decades ago, to illustrate the point. Suppose you are talking via a video terminal, such as the one you are now using to read this, to what you believe to be a person. If it were in fact a cleverly programmed computer, could you tell? Can you, in fact, tell that I am a person and not a computer? You can't. |
