all the answers you give in philosophy will eventually turn to be your question later on. everything goes on for philosophy because it is based on curiosity not on the exactness of answers. it can mean a "no" for today, but later on, another person can come up with the answer "yes" to the very same question. |

It is the questions asked in philosophy which become the driving force for the arts and science. Once answers and methods are formed they become a science. Psychology was born in this way in 1897. So was linguistics and the social sciences. Maths also often moves forward by philosophical examination. As for the arts, many works are directly inspired by philosophy. Another and vital element is that of moral philosophy. The religions are now quite useless in understanding how we should relate to each other in an ethical form. Therefore it is for philosophy, as it has always anyway, to answer the moral dilemmas. The quote = 'It is better to journey that arrive.' |

Good for you for undertaking to learn English as a second or subsequent language. There are many stunning answers available in philosphy, answers that can change the direction of our very lives. Others not - but learning the questioning and epistemological processes is also a tremendous asset, in my opinion. |
