| Philosophy and Economics degree...what if I don't want to pursue legal studies,
will I be qualified for a job? I am getting my bachelors. I want to major in Philosophy and Economics and a minor in business legal studies to pursue law. If I choose not to pursue law after my degree, which careers will I be qualified for? I have 10 years of full-time restaurant experience--5 of those in management.

Philosophy and Economics will prepare you well for Business School, Law School and just about anything else you may want to pursue after undergrad. It's not easy getting a very good job right after undergrad. A Masters or a professional degree would help a lot. I'm a Philosophy major and an Economics minor. I want to go to law school and these two majors help out A LOT on the LSAT. The avg Philosophy or Economics student scores a 158 on the LSAT, which is about the top 30% of all those taking the LSAT. If you combine these two majors, it may raise your score higher than that. |
