Jake J has a spectacular aura about
Philosophy as a minor or second major if you're not good at writing?

I definitely plan on going to medical school and will major in Biology. However, I was reading about Philosophy and how it helps people become deep thinkers and become better writers.

Even though I find the profound thinking that philosophy requires to be very alluring, will I do good in the courses If I'm not too good at writing essays and such? My GPA is one of my top concerns, because medical schools put a lot of weight on it.

Thank you!
One more question. Do philosophy classes expect you to come in having great analytical skills, or do they build up from easier topics?

You can't be all that bad at writing, considering you're one of the few people I've seen here on Yahoo Answers who can write a sentence without multiple crimes against basic grammar. Sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders, too -- odds are you would not feel out of place in a philosophy class.

That said, if it's essay-writing you're worried about, I might suggest you contact someone in the Philosophy dep't. of an area college (especially if it's one you're considering). Tell him/her what you're thinking, and see if they'd be willing to help give you a sense of where your writing is. Maybe you can get a sample essay prompt, bring it to them, and see what they think of it.

Or, you could always take an English Composition-type class or two. A lot of those are focused on improving students' analytical and writing skills.
