Confucius's Philosophy?

Confucius said that people basically well and can be led by example.

What are three arguments to defend this position?

Would one be that the ruler rules with good control to make the people follow them?

1 - people are basically GOOD because WE are social animals ( we cannot survive without a family or a tribe) hence we HAVE to help each other

2 - but people often tend to prefer their immediate advantage, looting and robbing the others ; sage men teach that such a behavior is harmful in tho long run, because it weakens the society we live in ; the laws tend to fix and defend this principle

3 - teaching by words can be good ; certainly teaching with the example of an appropriate behavior is more effective because it shows the teacher really believes in what he says
