| What happens to philosophy without death to drive it?
Anti-aging science is a verifiable field. Scientists have discovered how to let mice live twice as long as usual, and it is a relatively short time before they bring these techniques to humans. Many expect that through the operation of reseting cellular age, it will be possible to allow a human to live indefinitely.
Question: if this development becomes a reality - and there is no reason to think it couldn't - how will it effect our views of what life is and what it means, when so many philosophies are built on the basis that death is certain?
