However, if you mean something that stands in opposition to metaphysical naturalism (which is anti-science and denies the possibility of objective human knowledge), then, sure, the modern scientific revolution of the 19th century qualifies.

I think you are confusing a scientific theory for a philosophy. Evolution has to do with biology.

Evolution has nothing to do with philosophy, it has everything to do with evidence.

You see, a theory is not a "wild guess" or a "speculation we are not sure about". In science, a theory is as good as it gets and is always subject to change pending new evidence. The ToE is a theory that has withstood the testing of 150 years of rigorous investigation.

There is no such thing as "Evolutionism". You are making up a term that does not exist--typical for Creationists. Evolution is the process by which life forms change over time vis mutation and natural selection. Period. It says nothing about morality, God, the universe, spirituality, or anything else.
