| How do U differentiate betw rhetorics & dialectics in philosophy?As ex....
...how do U categorize Neitzsche & Plato? And Aristotle (who studied & analyzed syllogisms)? Categorizing Neitzsche and plato is only half of an answer. They were mentioned only to suggest the need to exemplify your A to the Q. Their names are not meant to confine your A. Feel free to use anyone else if it helps you illustrate your Answer. If you read te Qcorrectly you should already know this w/o my having to explain it. This is the PHILOSOPHY Category where expounding upon your answer is highly recommended- esp on difficult Q's as this one is, for example!      |

"Dialectic" in Plato has two meanings. The first is intellectual argumentation for the sake of purifying the intellect, the second is meditative technique for realizing pure consciousness, or what Plato called "The Good". Rhetoric is not about coming to truth, it's about persuasion.
